Founder · Staff Software Engineer · Researcher

I’m a software engineer, researcher, and founder focused on building large-scale distributed systems, autonomous AI platforms, and data-intensive research infrastructure.

I’m the Founder of Quiet Orbit Labs, an independent software and research company where I build ambitious systems at the intersection of artificial intelligence, quantitative finance, distributed computing, and computational research.

Quiet Orbit Labs currently develops two primary platforms:

Obsidian — an autonomous quantitative research and trading platform combining large-scale financial data infrastructure, backtesting, portfolio analytics, and multi-agent AI systems.

ChainWeave — a full-chain Bitcoin graph analytics and research platform supporting work in blockchain systems, graph measurement, entity resolution, and anti-money-laundering research.

Professionally, I’m also a Staff Software Engineer at Rokt, where I work on the large-scale data infrastructure behind its real-time advertising platform. My work spans distributed databases, streaming systems, infrastructure efficiency, and agentic AI. Rokt's OLTP platform serves tens of billions of queries per day, while its Kafka infrastructure processes more than 100 billion events daily.

Previously, I held engineering and technical leadership roles at Meta, Capital One, Cloudreach, and Goldman Sachs, working across infrastructure, fraud detection, cloud platforms, financial systems, and large-scale data engineering.

What I'm Exploring

A major theme of my current work is a simple question:

How much can a single engineer build when AI becomes part of the engineering organization rather than merely a coding assistant?

At Quiet Orbit Labs, I’m experimenting with autonomous engineering systems in which specialized AI agents can plan work, implement changes, run experiments, review one another's output, verify results, and coordinate complex software projects.

The broader goal is to understand how AI changes the economics of building technology—making projects that once required large engineering teams and substantial capital increasingly accessible to individuals and small organizations.

Quiet Orbit Labs

I founded Quiet Orbit Labs in 2026 as a home for independent software development, engineering experimentation, and computational research.

Obsidian

Obsidian is a proprietary quantitative research and operations platform spanning market and economic data ingestion, point-in-time research infrastructure, strategy development, backtesting, portfolio and risk analytics, governance, and paper execution.

The platform also serves as an experiment in autonomous software engineering. Its multi-agent engineering harness coordinates specialized AI agents across implementation, review, testing, verification, and controlled integration workflows.

ChainWeave

ChainWeave is a full-chain Bitcoin graph analytics platform designed for reproducible blockchain research.

It processes raw Bitcoin blockchain data into entity-resolved graph datasets and supports research across graph measurement, on-chain text analysis, entity resolution, graph machine learning, and financial-crime detection.

The underlying research environment operates at multi-billion-row scale and supports a growing research program targeting systems, data-mining, and machine-learning venues.

Research

My research interests include:

  • Distributed systems

  • Graph analytics

  • Blockchain systems

  • Graph machine learning

  • Financial crime and fraud detection

  • Autonomous AI systems

  • Reproducible computational research

Current research includes work on Bitcoin entity graphs, on-chain text, full-chain blockchain infrastructure, and AML datasets.

New Jersey Institute of Technology
M.S., Data Science — 2021

Pennsylvania State University
B.S., Computer Engineering — 2016

Earlier Work

Before founding Quiet Orbit Labs, my career spanned large-scale infrastructure, data engineering, financial systems, cloud computing, fraud prevention, and developer platforms.

I’ve worked at Rokt, Meta, Capital One, Cloudreach, and Goldman Sachs, ranging from hands-on software engineering to leading engineering teams and technical initiatives.

Earlier personal and open-source projects include MLFairnessPipeline, machine-learning research, Alexa applications, and technical writing on distributed systems, software architecture, machine learning, and engineering practices.

Outside of Work

Outside of engineering and research, I enjoy spending time with my kids

I’m particularly drawn to ambitious projects where software, research, and emerging technology intersect.
